December Spice: Wild Food Walk 1:00 pm
Let's walk through Cammo estate to the West of Edinburgh City and see which edible species of plants and fungi we can find in woods and fields and hedgerows in Scotland in December.. We will in particular focus our wonderrful, forgotten native spices to add a wild twist to your holiday baking and drinking.
This three-hour walk will include samples of foraged flavours in foods and drinks.

A cup of wild spice mulled wine, Raclette cheese, melted on an open fire and served with artisanal sourdough breads and wild pickles and lactoferments, enjoyed outdoors in the gorgeous surroundings of one of Edinburgh’s most beautiful country parks after a foraging walk and a lesson on fermentation, of course!

We'll discuss edible and similar toxic species on a leisurely three hour walk, harvesting a few of the edibles along the way and tasting many of our species in a series of delicious and exiting food and drink samples.
